I totally forgot about this picture. It was taken in 2010 with my friend’s Nikon D90, which I was in love with at the time. I really wanted an upgrade to my D40 and I had a lot of fun with his camera.
My mom, sister, son and I had gone to the U.P. to visit my grandmother, as she was very old and in a nursing home. It was an opportunity for Alanzo to meet his great-grandmother and it gave me a chance to see her one last time. It was good to get back to the area. I’d spent half of my life up there and I didn’t want to leave.
If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend stopping. It’s good food all around!
