The Sauk River December 12, 2009 at 12:08
I had woken up this morning to get ready to go help set up my church for a Christmas activity and decided I would take the camera with me. I drove around for a bit and looked at all the snow – it was quite beautiful. I knew that I wanted to go somewhere that there was water but I couldn’t decide where. The Sauk River is pretty long and there’s quite a few places to shoot at but nowhere that you can really park in a lot of places. I finally remembered the bridge where Jacob and I had shot before on Labor Day weekend. The sunlight was perfect and I knew that the river would be partially frozen over and the water would be rushing around the footbridge’s pylons.
Note to Casey: Sorry! This was a last-minute thing. I promise, we’ll plan another time to photograph together!

Beautiful photo Steve. I hope that one of the times you and Becky come down for the Temple maybe we can go out and do some photography afterward. Especially this time of year, there is the winter carnival, that would definitely give some great shots in the evening with all of the lights…
