You just have to love re-installing Windows. It really is an all-day excursion. First, you have to make sure all the stuff you need is properly backed up. Then you have to actually go through and re-install Windows, which really isn’t a whole lot of time if you have a decent computer. Then, you have to re-install all of your software and hardware. Now, if you are like me the re-installing really isn’t the issue. It’s having to go through and put all of your custom settings back in, go and put all of your bookmarks back in, and in the case of this website, go through and figure out which pictures you want to put back up here and try and re-think of something to say about them because if you’re a dork like me, you’ve done a re-install of WordPress instead of importing your material over so now all of your stuff on your host’s server is gone because your fresh install overwrote those files.
Yep, that’s where I’m at.
On the plus side, it’ll give me a chance to get rid of the pictures that I wasn’t completely keen on and it’ll give me a chance to reformat some of the other pictures that were taking too long to load. Also, I did manage to keep my WordPress Template that I used, which was bonus, because I really liked it and it took forever to find it the first time.
So, I’ll start re-installing Photoshop and we’ll start building the site up again.
